Time
Time is tracked with one timer, from one place: the bottom of the rail, on every page.
The timer
- Working on shows the case and the running time; Stop ends the entry, Switch… moves it to another case.
- On a case, the header has the same control: ▶ Work on this starts the timer on it (and stops whatever was running); ■ Stop when it's this case.
- Claiming a case starts the timer — that's the moment you start working it. Turn this off in your settings if you'd rather start it yourself.
- There is one timer per person. Starting a second one stops the first; the first entry is kept.
Forgotten timers
A timer that has run past the limit (4 hours, set by an admin) asks once, on your next page: still working on it, or stop it at a time — defaulting to your last activity on the case. Stop also lets you set the ended time when you know you stopped earlier.
Logging time by hand
Record time… (in the timer widget): the case, minutes or a start and end, a note. Manual entries are marked manual. An entry can't overlap another of yours or sit in the future.
My time
My time — the link in the timer widget, with today's and the week's totals — lists your entries by day; filter by case, entity, source and dates; export. Admins see everyone's under Admin › Team time, with an operator filter.
Editing
Edit on any of your entries (admins: anyone's): start, end, case, note — and a reason, always. Nothing is deleted: an entry that shouldn't exist is voided with a reason and stays struck through, out of the totals.
Every edit and void is kept as a revision — edited ×N on the row opens the trail, showing was → now for each change, who, when and why. The same change appears on the case's timeline and in Audit. Editing someone else's entry is marked as an admin edit.
